The WCPO TV Tower is a television transmission structure located in Mount Auburn with a lattice framework made of metal supporting a central transmission mast. The tower stands prominently along Symmes Street and continues to broadcast signals throughout the Cincinnati area from its elevated antenna systems.
Built in 1965, this transmission tower was the first major broadcasting structure in Cincinnati to exceed the height of 900 feet. It marked the beginning of an era when large transmission towers became defining features of the city's skyline.
